Bank of America Charitable Foundation recently awarded Community Haven for Adults and Children with Disabilities a grant of $7,500 to support its Community Employment Services Program (CES). CES works with individuals (adults 18+) with disabilities to provide them with comprehensive employment services so they can obtain, retain or advance in community-based competitive employment. Most clients are referred to CES from the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and reside in Sarasota and Manatee Counties.

Working in partnership with area employers, CES matches the right worker with the right job; tailored to the needs, goals and aptitude of each client. CES provides local businesses with a new pool of motivated, loyal and well-trained employees. The program offers pre-screened applicants, on-the-job training, consultation and follow-up support services. Participating businesses consistently report strong satisfaction with the program. Bank of America’s investment in The Haven’s CES Program will help to accomplish the mission of helping adults with special needs thrive and achieve the highest level of personal development and inclusion possible within our community.
