Brad Jones has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with minors is Psychology and Sociology from Columbia College, and a Master’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Illinois-Champaign. Brad began his career at Community Haven as a Program Coordinator in the Community Living program. In May of 2012, he was promoted to the Director of Adult Services and in July of 2014 he was promoted to Vice President of Operations. On May 10, 2016, Brad was appointed President and CEO. In August of 2013, The Florida ARF Award Committee selected Brad Jones, as the recipient of the Michael Goodman Award. The annual Michael Goodman Award is voted on by the Florida Association of Rehabilitation Facilities. It is given to one company leader to recognize outstanding and significant contributions to serving Floridians with disabilities. In January of 2014, Brad was awarded the 2014 Unity Award in the Non-Profit category by BIZ941 and Sarasota Magazine. Brad serves on the board of directors for the Miracle League of Manasota and is a coach for the Yankees.

Sierra Ebersole

Sierra Lifsey is a Florida certified educator with 5 years of teaching experience. She has taught students with Autism in grades 4-8 in Jacksonville and upon moving back to her hometown of Sarasota, she taught students in grades 6-8 with emotional and behavioral disorders. She has her Bachelors of Arts in Special Education from the University of North Florida. Sierra began working at The Haven at the end of 2013, and is now the Director of Client Services. She is a Sarasota County native and enjoys the outdoors, watersports, art, photography, and traveling.

Christine Crawford

Vice President of Recruitment and Residential Services

Prior to joining the The Haven team, Christine Crawford worked as a case manager with chronically homeless individuals, as a medical social worker in home health and hospice and also as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Christine received her Masters of Social work at Aurora University with a specialization in gerontology. Christine began working at The Haven late 2013 and is now the Community Living Coordinator. Christine is originally from the Midwest and now lives in Sarasota with her husband, their young son and daughter. Christine enjoys spending time with her family and friends, fishing and hiking.

Michelle Williams

Michelle Williams is the marketing director at The Haven. Responsible for building relationships in the community, Michelle handles strategic marketing and PR development for the organization. With a passion for serving the community, Michelle is an AmeriCorps alumna and has worked in the non-profit sector for many years.

Jordan Cadavid

Community Outreach Director

Studied in Tallahassee, FL where she majored in Broadcast Journalism and minored in Psychology. Jordan is a Floridian born in raised in Lakeland, FL. She comes to us from working on board Carnival Cruise Lines in their on board Entertainment Department. She has excelled in Marketing and Sales since 2007. Her love for helping others and making a difference in her community is the reason she knew The Haven was where she was supposed to be. She enjoys photography and loves to travel.

Missy Eckenrod

Selby Preschool Coordinator

Missy Eckenrod, the Director of the Selby Preschool, has a Master’s Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. She is a certified Montessori teacher who has over 40 years of teaching and administrative experience. A long time resident of Manatee County, Missy enjoys community service work through The Service Club of Manatee County and The Entre Nous Club. She has been affiliated with The Haven and the Selby Preschool since 1997 when she served on the Board of Directors.

Pam Alexander

Community Employment Director

Ms. Alexander has an extensive business management background which includes new business start-up, customer service management, marketing, and employee development. She has worked in and consulted to organizational service departments ranging in size from 40 up to 1000 employees. Prior to The Haven, her work history includes United Airlines, Chase Bank, Sprint, PGT Industries, and her own consulting firm, Alexander Associates. Throughout her career, Ms. Alexander has worked to recruit and hire individuals with disabilities and to make workplace adaptations. She partnered with the Perkins School for the Blind in Boston, and with the State of California, as well as numerous community organizations to accomplish these placements. Ms. Alexander was the Location Manager of the Relay Center for the Deaf and Hearing impaired in California, and sat on the Disability Advisory Committee for the State of California. She joined The Haven in 2010 as an Employment Specialist in the Community Employment Services program, and subsequently moved into the role of Program Coordinator.

Xela Brutus

Xela Brutus, our Transition Coordinator, graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelors’ degree in Psychology. She has worked at the Haven for 2 years as a Transition Specialist prior to becoming Coordinator.

Bruno Brown

Technology Manager

Bruno Brown, our IT Manager, graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and a minor in Business Administration. He is The Haven’s network administrator and also provides technical support and training for our staff. Bruno has been a Sarasota County resident for over 30 years. He’s an avid football fan and a proud supporter of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
