The Selby Preschool VPK Graduation & End of the Year Celebration
THE SELBY PRESCHOOL AT COMMUNITY HAVEN, recently celebrated their end of the school year and VPK graduation on the harmonious grounds of their 32 acre campus.
Marla Doss, President & CEO congratulated the five young graduates from the VPK program as they accepted their diploma. Business sponsors, Wells Fargo Bank; Sarasota Herald-Tribune; Home Depot; and Carrabba's Italian Grill were recognized with appreciation photo collages made by the children. The preschool chorus sang several songs ending with their signature, "Love Isn't Love Until You Give It Away!" After the ceremony, a delicious lunch buffet, in part provided by staff, parents, and Carrabba's Italian Grill was enjoyed by all attending.

"If you are looking for an excellent daycare and preschool for your infant or young child, check out Selby Preschool at Community Haven." commented Jane Sue Shumway, one of the preschooler's grandparent. "My granddaughter receives safe and excellent care where regular outside play and nutritious snacks and meals are served. She loves her caretakers who provide creative play and activities that reinforce learning skills."
The Selby Preschool currently has 21 children enrolled and is now accepting applications for enrolling toddlers through age five for summer daycare and the 2013 fall semester.
The Selby Preschool-a community-based, CARF accredited program in Sarasota-offers a "best practices" approach through state-of-the-art Early Intervention and School Readiness programming which mingles children with disabilities with typically developing children. A No-Bias approach teaches young children to recognize and appreciate differences and develops a positive understanding of disabilities. After school care is also offered. |
